Prizes1st - 5th place trophies per division. 1st - 3rd place team trophies. A school must have at least 4 representatives to qualify as a team.
RegistrationAnytime before the tournament begins at 9 AM. Late joins are also allowed.

Bye Policy

A half-point bye will be given for any round prior to the start of the tournament. Once the tournament begins half-point byes can be requested for rounds 1-3 but only zero-point byes for rounds 4 + 5

FAIR PLAY POLICY:

Fair Play: (taken from the chess.com website)

  • No chess programs or engines (e.g. Chessmaster, Fritz, Komodo, Houdini, Stockfish, Chessbase with any active UCI engine, etc.) can be used to analyze positions in ongoing games at any time.  
  • No outside assistance OF ANY KIND is permitted.
  • Fixing game results by arranging games, playing with multiple accounts, or losing intentionally is also against the rules.

SANITATION POLICY ***NEW*** (subject to change)

In light of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic and the rise of the Delta variant; all participants will be required to wear masks, wash hands in between rounds, and be asked to use hand sanitizer if it is an observed participant is not exercising proper sanitation (i.e. child putting hands in mouth/nose).
